


As part of that remit the OTS will conduct a review of IR35, which was promised by Mark Prisk, now Minister for Business and Enterprise, before the General Election.
The OTS will be headed by Michael Jack (former Conservative MP and Treasury minister) and John Whiting (Tax Director at the Chartered Institute of Taxation).
HMRC has recently introduced a new system - NPS, National Insurance & PAYE Service. The transition to the new system has brought to light that some individual's record have discrepancies. This has resulted in some people having the wrong tax code issued.
Read more »HMRC is still on its campaign to raise revenue by targeting those who owe taxes. This time it is VAT that they are focusing on. The latest campaign, launched on 6th July 2011, focuses on those trading above £73,000 turnover but who have not registered for VAT.
